StoriesLived.com, a website for hosting inspirational videos to remind people that good news and beauty still exist in the world, has announced the winners of its inaugural video contest.
Oct. 4th, 2016 —StoriesLived.com recently completed a 3-month online video contest where filmmakers from over 20 countries on 6 continents competed for cash prizes for the most inspiring videos. On October 2nd, the organizers announced the following winners:
- Jury Award – WISER Kenya: Empowering Girls, a film by Hollie Harrington of London, England that chronicles the work of an all-girls school in Kenya that educates, empowers and nourishes these girls into the change making woman that the region, country and world needs. http://www.storieslived.com/personal-triumph/wiser-kenya-empowering-girls/
- Audience Popular Vote Award – Manly Women’s Shelter: Colours, a film by Rio Hikichi of Sidney, Australia that tells the true story of a woman who overcomes domestic violence and embraces her life, through the support of the Manly Women’s Shelter. http://www.storieslived.com/personal-triumph/domestic-violence-manly-shelter-colours/

StoriesLived.com is a website that is changing the world in a positive way by inviting people to share inspirational stories from everyday life. StoriesLived.com is hosting these motivational videos in order to inspire others to live their lives in a more positive way.
The website, founded by Joe Snider and Courtney Salamone, was inspired by personal experience. “We had our own personal experiences where everyday people inspired us,” said Snider. “These people changed and moved us. And it changed the way we went about our day.”
“I think the way we maneuver through life with these life lessons and what is learned from them is so beautiful. Sharing these stories can really make a difference in helping others navigate through their own challenges,” said Courtney Salamone.
In an attempt to bring that positivity and inspiration to the masses, the couple created StoriesLived.com.
“We wanted to put these stories all in one place, where people watch them for a couple minutes each day just to be inspired instead of watching a half an hour of awful news stories,” Snider said.
