BRISBANE, Australia and SAN FRANCISCO – Mar. 17, 2016 – Megaport, a global leader in software defined networking (SDN) based elastic interconnection, today announced that Wolfe will connect its metro and national Ethernet network to the Megaport Elastic Fabric throughout the United States to provide direct connectivity to key cloud services.
Megaport’s Elastic Fabric and Cloud Cross Connects (CXCs) provide an onramp for Wolfe customers to directly connect to cloud services by enabling elastic interconnections to a rich ecosystem of cloud service providers via the Megaportal. Customers can dial-up and dial-down capacity in real-time based on demand. The Megaport API also makes it possible for customers to integrate their ordering and provisioning functions. Additionally, Wolfe joins the Megaport services ecosystem, providing national and metro Ethernet network, and disaster recovery services via the Megaport Elastic Fabric. Wolfe will connect to Megaport in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York City, San Jose, and Seattle.
Denver Maddux, CEO, Megaport said: “Wolfe’s national and metro Ethernet network provides an excellent choice to our customers looking to extend the reach of their networks and build mission-critical services. We’re excited to have their unique network footprint available as part of our service provider ecosystem.”
Winston Rendall, Business Development, Wolfe, added: “Wolfe is driven to provide additional value and services to our customers. By joining the Megaport Elastic Fabric, we bring the next-level of cloud connectivity services to our growing customer base. The ability to quickly and easily provision capacity to cloud service providers is a true differentiator.”
