Berlin / New Orleans. The Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) has awarded its Thomas Bagg Standards Award to Duff Johnson, Executive Director of the PDF Association, in recognition of his twelve years of service to the field of standards development. Johnson received the award at AIIM’s recent conference in New Orleans.
“I’m deeply honored to receive the Thomas Bagg Standards Award,” said Duff Johnson. “AIIM has a long history of standards-development in enterprise content management, and I’m proud to have contributed to that legacy.”
Duff Johnson has led the US committee for PDF/UA (ISO 14289) since 2005. Since 2011, he has also served as ISO Project Leader for the international committee managing the ISO 32000 standard, the specification for PDF. Duff is also a regular contributor to the ISO committees for the PDF/A (archive) and PDF/E (engineering) specifications.
The Thomas Bagg Award is given in memory of Thomas C. Bagg Jr., who was well-known as a leading expert in the international standards community. In most years, AIIM honors an engaged personality within the community in his name.
