Corrective Exercise Specialist of the Year 2016 Named

Helping people alleviate muscle and joint pain without drugs or surgery is truly rewarding work.

San Diego, CA – May 13, 2016 – The BioMechanics Method, the highest-rated provider of corrective exercise education for health and fitness professionals with specialists in over 40 countries, is pleased to name Eric Wilson of Apex, North Carolina, as the 2016 Corrective Exercise Specialist of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes an individual who is certified in The BioMechanics Method, currently providing corrective exercise services to clients/patients and has demonstrated exceptional application of their corrective exercise skills. Finalists for the award were Max Lauth of Galway, Ireland, and Veronica Sutherland of Orange, NSW, Australia.

Eric, who holds a BS in exercise science, is a certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist based in Apex, North Carolina. As a master trainer for O2Fitness, Wilson specializes in working with clients who experience lower back pain, knee pain, neck pain, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain and other forms of musculoskeletal pain caused by muscle tension and body alignment issues. In addition to working full-time with clients, Eric also conducts seminars for club members and colleagues on topics such as alleviating back pain, safe strength training, corrective exercise, and self-myofascial release. “Even though my clients are grateful for their improvements, I am the lucky one”, says Wilson. “I get to see people’s lives change for the better. Corrective exercise is truly my passion.”

As the 2016 Corrective Exercise Specialist of the Year, Wilson will serve as a spokesperson on corrective exercise for The BioMechanics Method. He also receives a cash award in addition to memberships with leading health and fitness organizations IDEA Health & Fitness Association and Personal Training on the Net and an equipment package from TRX Training. “Eric’s ability to identify postural imbalances, trigger points and structural weaknesses in clients is what makes him such an exceptional corrective exercise specialist”, says Justin Price, Education Director for The BioMechanics Method. “His unwavering commitment to helping people overcome muscle and joint pain without the use of drugs or surgery is something to be admired.”

In addition to his passion for corrective exercise, Eric enjoys competitive swimming and giving back to his community. “I recognize not every person who needs corrective exercise can afford my training fees; therefore, I periodically offer free evaluations and care to those who are limited financially. I have a passion for helping people and The Biomechanics Method has given me the knowledge needed to do so. I am thrilled and deeply honored that I was selected to be this year’s Corrective Exercise Specialist of the Year. I am very proud of the training I received from The BioMechanics Method and the great work it allows me to do with my clients.”
