Arizona Abstract Artist KR Moehr Featured in National Art Collector Catalog

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Abstract Artist KR Moehr Featured in National Art Collector Catalog
Art Powerhouse Saatchi Includes Two of Her Original Paintings in Recent Publication

TUCSON, Ariz. –March 25, 2016 Tucson, AZ-based abstract artist KR Moehr has been featured in the latest art catalog by renowned Saatchi.com. This catalog features two of her original abstract art paintings, Versed and Ascend.

“I’m so excited to be a part of this collection of amazing artists,” said Moehr.  “It’s very gratifying to see my art selected and included in their latest catalog.”

Moehr has been painting for the past 10+ years, working mostly in large-scale abstracts.  Most of her works are acrylic or water-based oil on canvas, which makes them durable and affordable.  Her paintings generally do not require framing as they are completed on stretched gallery-wrapped canvas.  She also tends to work in standard sizes that are easy for interior designers to work with and has sold her work to collectors worldwide.

Best known for her abstract paintings, much of her work involves contemporary landscapes with desert themes, textures and colors. She works from her studio in Arizona.  Recent sales include both Saatchi-featured paintings as well as “Girl in the Yellow Convertible,” a small-scale painting with a whimsical title, “Baked Earth,” a 16”x 32” diptych canvas set that depicts the sun-scorched desert and “Sur Mer,” a 24” x 48” a cooling water and beach-inspired wood-panel painting featuring calming blues and texture.

She most enjoys painting contemporary artworks taking inspiration from nature. “I watch the amazing sunsets we get here in Arizona and the inspiration is never-ending,” she says. “Whenever I think a color is man-made, like neon pink, all I have to do is catch a vibrant sunset and I can see neon colors mixed with a myriad of pastels and more. Nature is my inspiration and it never ceases to amaze me.”

Currently, she is busy working on commissions for collectors in Florida, Connecticut and California. Her work is also featured on top online galleries including Zatista.com and Vango.co as well as Amazon and Saatchi.com.

About KR. Moehr

As an abstract artist, her only wish is for her art is art to convey a feeling, personalized for each viewer. As such, she focuses on the “face time” each viewer spends with the art, hoping to create a uniquely interactive moment from the first glance.
