AMMO Management is excited to announce the debut EP of one of Los Angeles’ rising pop vocalists Mario Jose. The six song collection of all original songs features the dazzling a cappella title track co-written with Scott Hoying and Ben Bram, percussion on several songs from the acclaimed drummer from the band BØRNS, and a haunting power ballad produced by Josh “Igloo” Monroy who just worked JoJo’s latest album and has produced for Ludacris.
Mario attended Berklee College of Music and was a part of the award-winning group Pitch Slapped. In his post-graduate life, Mario has been featured on several TV shows including NBC’s The Sing-Off, ABC’s Duets, and on American Idol season 12, where he was one of the Top 40 male vocalists. He has opened for Pentatonix during their latest US tour, recorded with Meghan Trainor and currently you can catch him every Sunday performing at The W Hotel in Hollywood for their esteemed Jazz Night which has showcased talents like Stevie Wonder, Prince, Justin Bieber and more.
In the last few months he has been featured on viral music videos including a cover of Katy Perry “Rise”, Brandy “Have You Ever”, Beyoncé “Freedom” and Bob Dylan “Blowin’ In The Wind” reaching over 5 millions views.
To fund the creation of this EP, Mario successfully funded a Kickstarter campaign that hit the $30,000 goal in 21 days, and went on to raise almost $40,000!
Mario Jose’s tour is planned for 2017 with dates to be announced.
