Envision’s Charity Luncheon Debut to Fund Greater Community Outreach

By Sarah

“Carousel in the Park” Event Helps Bring Equine-Assisted Therapeutic Activities to More People

Scottsdale, AZ – On May 18, 2016, Envision Therapeutic Horsemanship Inc. inaugurated its annual charity luncheon event, Carousel in the Park, at the Silverleaf Country Club in North Scottsdale. The theme of the event, “Horses Delivering Hope”, was chosen to accentuate the positive impact of equine-assisted therapeutic activities on the lives of Envision’s clients.

One hundred twenty guests attended the sold-out charity luncheon, which included auctions, a wine pull, and a museum-quality carousel horse display. Victoria Longfellow of Longfellow Law Group PLLC and K2Adventures Foundation were the event’s premier sponsors.

Envision staff delivered informative presentations about the history and mission of Envision. A few of Envision’s clients and supporters offered testimonials about their personal experiences with the organization. The keynote speaker was noted veterinarian and author  , DVM. Dr. Nelson spoke about the transformational power of animals, and how horses can help change people’s lives.

Envision’s Executive Director, Lisa Péwé, presented the organization’s very first Monte Carlo Award. The award is named after Envision’s foundational horse, a former jumper and dressage horse who now performs equine-assisted therapeutic activities with Envision’s clients. Chris Kirk, who owns Monte Carlo and several other horses on Envision’s equine staff, was the recipient of this award.

Another highlight of the Carousel in the Park luncheon was the premiere of Horses Delivering Hope. This short film, now available on YouTube, features interviews with Envision staff, volunteers, and supporters. Filmed on-site at Envision’s Phoenix facility, Horses Delivering Hope shows staff and volunteers engaged with some of the organization’s clients in a variety of equine-assisted therapeutic activities.

“One of the things we are dedicated to doing at Envision is making the benefits of working with horses available to many more people,” states Barbara Beard, Envision’s Director of Operations. To this end, proceeds from the Carousel in the Park annual charity luncheon will be used to serve existing clients, offer services to new clients, and expand Envision’s community outreach programs. Envision’s programs help people with physical, mental, and emotional challenges .
