New Pricing and Deployment Models add Capability, Flexibility and Simplicity to MAX ERP

By Sarah

San Mateo, CA – April 15, 2016

MAX, a leading ERP software solution for small and medium-sized manufacturers, today announced exciting new ways to buy and deploy MAX. These add significant software value and fit a variety of budgets, IT requirements or both.

MAX Deployment Options: On-Premises or NEW Private Cloud

MAX has traditionally been deployed “on-premises” at the customer site, but can now also be hosted in a Private Cloud. Partnering with CIO Systems of Silicon Valley enables MAX to offer this option to customers. By hosting MAX in a Private Cloud, companies can benefit from the perks of our software without having to own complex IT infrastructure. MAX will continue to be available with the option to deploy it on-premises for companies that wish to keep their software onsite.

Forward Foods, a CIO Systems customer, chose MAX for ERP in 2010. Rick Goff, Director of IT at Forward Foods: “We run all of our business applications on CIO Systems servers: Email, file server, accounting server, Dynamics GP and MAX; it’s all there. MAX operates like it would in any implementation. From a user perspective, it’s as responsive as it would be if it were installed onsite. We’re not a high-tech company, so we don’t need to invest in a ton of infrastructure. Working with CIO Systems has been great; they’re the best in the business.”

MAX Pricing Options: Own MAX or Buy a NEW MAX Subscription

By purchasing MAX outright, customers obtain full rights to use the software forever. This is combined with a maintenance contract, renewable each year, that covers continued development and technical support costs. Buying MAX is an excellent option for companies that prefer to own the software license and are prepared to make the initial capital investment.

As an alternative to purchasing the MAX license outright, MAX can now also be purchased through a subscription. In this model, customers pay a monthly fee to use the software and to benefit from maintenance, support and product development. A company with a MAX Subscription maintains full ownership of all data and company IP, but the company does not own the MAX license.

This subscription model is excellent for any manufacturing company that needs a mature and capable ERP system, but would rather avoid the capital investment to purchase the software outright.

One MAX to Rule Them All: One Edition, One Price

As of April 14, 2016, MAX no longer makes the distinction between MAX Essentials and MAX Premier for new customers. They are being replaced with a single edition of MAX (now available to new customers with the release of MAX 5.5.7) that features additions to its portfolio of ERP capabilities. Current owners of MAX Essentials or MAX Premier need not worry, as their MAX license will not change. If MAX customers have questions about their version of MAX, they are encouraged to contact their Account Manager to discuss their ERP needs and long-term plans.

Fiona Beckstrom, MAX General Manager: “This new, more complete MAX is extensive in its functional breadth, allowing both the customer and our internal team to place more emphasis on what ERP features to implement as opposed to what features to buy. We anticipate this will simplify the buying process and make the experience of doing business with us even easier for our customers.”

The new pricing structure for MAX includes the option to purchase a perpetual license for $2,995 per user plus maintenance and support fees. Companies also have the option to purchase a MAX Subscription that includes all software, support and maintenance for $115 per user per month. Implementation, training and other relevant IT infrastructure fees are not included in the user pricing for either model.
