SAN FRANCISCO – Jan 22 – SOMA Messenger is launching in the US with an “in your face” ad campaign:
“Say NO to SKYPE, to WHATSApp, to VIBER – Say YES to SOMA.”

The important extension of this campaign is Say NO to Invasion of Privacy.
The wholesale seizing of law abiding citizens business and personal data is bound to rear it’s ugly face in the general elections, and SOMA believes security and privacy are necessary to protect our civil liberties.
SOMA is the most secure messaging app! It is the only cross-platform (iOS – Android), end-to-end encryption-messaging app.
WhatsApp’s iOS version is not end-to-end encrypted, therefore when WhatsApp is used between Android and iOS device, it is not secure.
Telegram (making some news lately) by default is not encrypted and it stores all your past chat history in plain text.
Entrepreneurs Lei Guo and Oliver Hayen, creators of SOMA, contacted veteran adman, George Lois to create powerful in-your-face advertising reminiscent of the iconic Tommy Hilfiger ad that Lois did in 1985 that put Hilfiger on the map overnight.
SOMA Messenger is the latest communications service to come out of Instanza, a privately held American technology company dedicated to creating mobile communication apps. Instanza was founded in 2011 by Lei Guo and Oliver Hayen at Harvard University and incubated in Harvard
Innovation Lab’s (i-lab) inaugural class.
The company is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices around the world. Instanza has 35 employees.
