B.B. King’s All-Star Band To Perform at the 63rd PGA Merchandise Show Wednesday, Jan. 27, in Orlando
Morning Concert Features Kris Thomas of NBC’s The Voice and Other Incredible Artists
Orlando, Fla. (January 12, 2015) – PGA Professionals, golf buyers and industry leaders will have a special opportunity to attend a free morning concert by B.B. King’s All-Star Band at the opening of world’s largest golf industry event and the “MAJOR of Golf Business,” the 63rd PGA Merchandise Show on Wednesday, January 27.
The Orange County Convention Center will be rocking to one of the most talented bands in the country, named for the late blues singer and guitarist B.B. King, who died last year following a remarkable career spanning more than a half-century. King’s thriving legacy to music lovers is a hand selected band featuring a full horn section that always has fans dancing to the music inspired by many of America’s greatest artists.
The show starts bright and early at 7:30 a.m., immediately followed by the Opening Ceremony televised live on the Golf Channel beginning at 8:30 a.m.
B.B. King’s Blues Club is a short walk from the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. While Grammy Award-winning recording artists are the norm, it’s also pretty difficult to top the All-Star Band featuring Thomas.
“We are thrilled and honored to be helping to open PGA Merchandise Show, and can assure you an energetic atmosphere and some great music”, said Thomas.
As an added treat for PGA members and show (your badge) attendees, the nearby club is offering a 15% discount on food and beverage the entire week of the show.
B.B. King’s Blues Club brings some of the best Memphis-style barbecue available. At the table, the food is influenced by flavors from New Orleans all the way to Mississippi Delta and places like B.B. King’s hometown of Itta Bena, Miss.
A similar 15% discount is also being offered to PGA members and attendees at two restaurants that recently opened adjacent to world famous club on the second floor of nearby Pointe Orlando.
Itta Bena, features some of the most amazing steaks, seafood, and a spectacular copper wine bar and pianist. At the same time, Lafayette’s Music Room hits the high notes, on stage and on the patrons’ palate.
Lafayette’s features great Florida bands and national touring artists playing Country, Rock and Roll, Bluegrass, Jazz and Americana. Meanwhile, the Po’Boy sandwiches, shrimp and grits, specialty pizzas and made-from-scratch desserts are all tough to beat. Lafayette’s is known for some of the most vibrant culture in Orlando.
These discounts and preferred seating are now offered year-round to PGA of America members visiting any of the three restaurants, and Lafayette’s West Palm Beach. They need only show their cards to the server.
