“TRAFFICKED” US PREMIERE AT PAN AFRICAN FILM & ARTS FESTIVAL (PAFF)

February 6, 2016, Port-of-Spain – The award-winning film from Trinidad and Tobago, “Trafficked” has secured its much anticipated United States debut at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) currently ongoing in Los Angeles, California from February 4th 15th 2016.
PAFF is the largest and most prestigious film festival of its kind, screening some of the most captivating works from across the globe. The festival was ranked third by USA Today in their 2015 list of the 10 Best Film Festivals in the U.S. and will feature 150 topped ranked films this year.
A co-production between Garth St. Clair’s Eye on Dependency and Quirky Films, “Trafficked” is written and directed by Sean Hodgkinson, and features captivating actors Aaron Charles, Gyerlini Clarke and Kia Rollock.
The entrancing drama/thriller unveils a world of stifled social issues as three friends are engulfed in the seduction of a stranger’s wealth and charm. Their choices forever change their lives with a plot inspired by real-life stories from victims of drug-related crimes in Trinidad and Tobago.
“Trafficked” premiered at the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival in September 2015 where it copped the award for Best Trinidad and Tobago Feature. This was followed by acclaimed screenings at DIGICEL IMAX, and internationally in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Martinique and the Bahamas.
“Trafficked” screens on Thursday 11th February at 9:05 p.m. at the RAVE Cinemas, Baldwin Hills, and will be followed by a Question and Answer Session attended by Hodgkinson and St. Clair.
“Trafficked” is dedicated to the memory of Producer Marcia Henville, who passed away in January 2015, and who fought bravely against crime and corruption in Trinidad and Tobago.
