In the past, women have been extremely underrepresented in the tech field. Only 8% of venture backed startups have female leaders even today. However, the trends are changing. In just one year the number of women in IT jumped 28.9% and there’s no sign of that slowing down. Having women on teams and leadership positions in the tech field is proven to help improve the business as well as it is more likely to get funding. We are excited to see more women entering this male dominated field and even more excited to see the positive effects this is bringing.
